Instead of a manageable 4th down, running time off the clock, or forcing the Chiefs to burn a time out, Shannahan did what he did in Atlanta and decided to throw the ball. That was the play that probably cost the 49ers the game in my opinion.
Shannahan seems to always outthink himself instead of doing what got the team there in the first place.
