Good evening,

Did you know about that? I read that about 20 minutes ago and feel so frustrated about that… Skiff sent an email (and Alternativeto.net wrote a clear article about that: read here) explaining that Skiff is merging with Notion.

This made me very upset because Skiff was the first trustworthy Cloud suite (Email, Calendar, Notes, Drive…) that was opensource, well designed and functional. Plus, free plan offered the ability to create three aliases and use one custom domain. Everything worked fine except Android apps that were a bit buggy, but Web versions worked well. Not only am I upset because I started to migrate from other services to Skiff and loved so much the service, but also do I feel sad about the fact that once again, an opensource service that was a great example of how stable, efficient and straightforward, is being acquired by a big company who do not account for the same transparency and the same goals as Skiff did.

If you are/were a Skiff user too, what are going to be your replacement services? How do you feel regarding this situation?

I think I am going to opt for Nextcloud and Tuta as they are both opensource alternatives that look great.

Thanks for the answers and thanks for having read my words.
