Does anyone else think it’s weird that the skill set needed to get elected in America has nothing to do with the skill set that makes a good politician.

Yes I know “good politician” is an oxymoron but hoping to hear others thoughts on the spirit of the post. I just sometimes think it’s weird that being a good public speaker, having an ability to pander, and appealing to the masses don’t necessarily make someone a good leader.
