Currently the recruiting gap between FCS and FBS is enormous. There are basically no 4 or 5 star players in FCS at all and when there are it’s always a big story like with Travis Hunter.
If the Big Ten and SEC decide to split into their own subdivision with autonomy to pay players, how big will the recruiting gap be between them and FBS? Will the Big 12/ACC/G5s still be appealing at all to the best recruits?
