Saw a post on r/insanepeoplefacebook that got me thinking.... is the while defund police movement a precursor to implementing a federal police force (you know, for accountability and standards, right)? This federal force would then not be accountable to state rules on things like pot (and thus enforcement could once again resume in legal states).
What are the checks in place to prevent this? I can see the left working to undermine local policing and then (in the absence of "law and order") demanding a national-level police force. Maybe not in all states. I could see CA, NY, etc. opting in first. But then it would just be time before it got shoved everywhere.
Makes me more skeptical of the movement.
