A family member of one of the victims told WTVF that the two men had been at the farm to try and help capture the camel. The animal cornered them and attacked, stomping the men to death, the relative said.

Several lessons to be learned here.

    1. Always be in tip top shape. These men were pretty over weight. I hate to say it but had they been more athletic the chances of this humped beast cornering them and stomping them to death would have been much lower.

    2. As mentioned by @squashkin@wolfballs.com don't go after wild beast un armed. I occasionally approach donkeys and horses to pet them . even that is pretty dumb. Carry a gun or a spear , something.

I agree this was a bad idea but I think most people just want to answer the call to help.

Like I remmeber this story of a Brazilian woman who drowned when she jumped into the ocean to save her drowning dog... And the dog also died.

I think being brave and selfless is such a virtue that it deserves to be celebrated.

I saw a video of a women get out of her car because she was mad at her husband. But she was in a tiger park. So a tiger came to eat her. Her mother ran after them so the tiger ate the mother instead.

a legitimate case for why people might want to carry guns (for protecting against wild animal attacks)

this story is very sad although sounds humorous in how absurd it is - it's not every day that camels escape in to the wild and kill

but also I've thought that zoos are kind of a hazard for local regions like this, sometimes I think "what if a tornado came through and threw a bunch of animals out in to the wild?" It's kind of an insecure operation
