indisin@aussie.zone 1 week agoI was one of those people who used to let the dishes pile up and switched to a dishwasher. Problem was then I found that I would just treat the dishwasher a cupboard and pile up dirty plates on the side until the dishwasher was mostly empty and then reload it when i needed clean things. Rinse, repeat.
What fixed it for me and I don’t know if you’ve tried is: when cooking, constantly clean. It means that by the end you only have your plate / cutlery to go (plus maybe 1 pan) which should be done immediately after finishing eating. It makes it a ton easier as you’re already busy cooking anyways so might as well be cleaning too.

Yeah I’ve used paper plates but expensive and wasteful. I don’t really cook, this is more to keep up on pet bowls and spoons/saucers/mugs
