    It is also true that he is a talented guy, period. If anyone can come to dominate in a saturated market it would be someone like him or Musk.

    Ironically the way they are reducing pirating content

    is to make the content unwatchable / not worth consuming

    Indie, Crowd Funded and opensource seems to be leading towards the future

      Piracy is increasing due to having multiple streaming providers. When most stuff was on netflix people stopped pirating. Piratebay died.

      It's still a good bit of work to find a healthy torrent rename the file in proper naming conventions so kodi or plex can index it and pull down meta data for it properly and handle storage with redundancy yourself.

      But then netflix turned into netflix + hulu + Disney Plus + hbo max and still needed a cable subscription to get some content.

      So people have been going back to piracy.

      Piratebay is still dying but there are many other pirate sites now.

      btw the best kodi box you can buy is the odroid n2 + with coreelec. about 200$ for everything. It can basically play anything in hardware acceleration. Couple that with a nas (even built with your own rpi4) and you can build your own netflix complete with profiles and everything. Even stream the content to tablets around the house. 4 tb can hold a sizable library.
