This brush was a Christmas present from by wife yesterday. It’s got a good backbone, but super soft gelled tips, and it’s my first such badger. It feels super nice on the skin! I can tell I will like this brush. It lost a slightly alarming number of hairs but most during the first pass and many during the second and third passes, so I think that this brush just had a bunch of loose hair and once they’ve worked themselves out of the knot it’ll settle. The knot had no badger funk, and it lathered well already during this first use. I’m curious if there will be a lot of breaking in.
Dickens is a very nice scent for a winter vacation in the snowy mountains, and I had a great shave after a day in the snow with Djunior.

I have a Chubby 2 with a High Mountain White badger knot. Mine has the bulb shape and has pretty good backbone. The brush lost a few hairs at first but settled down. Now, I’m very happy to have it in my collection. Hopefully you will have the same experience with your new brush!

Thanks, I think I’ll get along very well with it. It’s lost free hairs today than yesterday, so I’m not overly alarmed.
I’m getting a bit lost with the different badger hair designations. I’m my mind the Manchurian knot were the high mountain badgers, but apparently there’s a distinction😅

Probably right. I’m sure it is mostly marketing anyway.
