If you have the hardware for it, you can set up moonlight and sunshine and make your own open source cloud gaming setup. I’m getting very close to moving my primary desktop into a server case and putting it in my rack and setting up a thin client for access at my desk. I have easy access to my steam library and can stream 4k in my home with very low latency, and it can do 1080p over a mobile connection
Comment on Nvidia are slapping a 100-hour monthly cap on GeForce Now streaming, with charges for extra time

Another reason why I never bought into this “cloud gaming” bullshit. Thankful for steam. If something happens to steam, I’ll just go back to my PS4/3/Emulation.

I don’t disagree on your assessment on this version of cloud gaming bullshit. But I do love to cloud game… But I do it through paperspace which more or less lets me rent a higher end computer, but it’s my full steam library and I can install mods or w/e. It’s not ideal as it’s charged per hour, but you can chose your setup (costs) and for someone like me that doesn’t have a lot of time to game nor can I justify to spend a ton of money on a good rig - this was a great solution for me. I just want my crazy modded out Skyrim available where ever on my low powered laptop.
