off_brand_@beehaw.org 2 months agofirst I’ve heard of this show, so forgive me if you’ve heard this before. But. Aren’t all LOTR stories generic, because “generic fantasy” was defined by LOTR in the first place?

LOTR has a certain style to it that makes it iconic, even the hobbit movies and spinoffs like Shadow of Mordor makes me think “Ahh, this is middle earth”. The trailer for war of the rohirrim feels like it could’ve been literally any fantasy anime movie.
