  Surprisingly high end CPUs from AMD are much cheaper than MSRP. I am getting one with inbuilt GPU as a fall.

  Discrete GPUs are priced about 50% higher (used to be 100% higher last year). Everyone assumes its because of mining, probably Ethereum

    I bought a and GPU last year at msrp. Just have to wait on Thursday to click buy every week until lucky.

      I fucking missed a GPU that was being sold second hand at a reasonable price below MSRP last week because I started talking to the seller about shipping. Still kicking myself about it. I think likely I will have to wait another year, because the prices will again go up due to the war/inflation

      Thankfully Bitcoin doesn't use GPUs anymore, so its price increase won't affect it
