Cordae delivered on his promise. Earlier this week, the rapper dropped off a brief teaser promising “The Crossroads era” had begun. Today, the rapper delivered his first single since 2023’s “Make Up Your Mind” – a classically Cordae offering dubbed “Saturday Mornings” complete with contributions from Lil Wayne.
“Saturday Mornings” signals the second collaboration between Cordae and Wayne, following up the From a Bird’s Eye View track “Sinister.”

Cordae continues to be one of hip-hop’s more underrated characters. It might have something to do with how his first couple of years in the industry went. He was originally a member of the YBN group, but since departing, it seems like that era doesn’t even exist anymore. Now, he is one of the more respectable word smiths in game, which is what Cordae further proves on “Saturday Mornings”. This is his first single since the August 2023 track, “Make Up Your Mind”. Before that was the catchy pop rap cut with Anderson .Paak, “Two Tens”. All three of the tracks have a great chance of landing on Cordae’s third studio LP, The Crossroads.

This past Saturday, Cordae announced his third album is on the way, and today, he followed up with its first single, the punchline-packed “Saturday Mornings.” The song finds Cordae reuniting with his rhyme hero Lil Wayne to trade bars full of wordplay over an easygoing soul sample produced by Boogz. The video, directed by APLUS, sees the two rappers doing their thing outside of an airplane hangar, interspersed with day-in-the-life footage from the recording process of Cordae’s upcoming follow-up to From A Birds Eye View.

Yes!
I was surprised no one mentioned his lyrics; this collab gave him a good amount of exposure!
Lil Wayne did too well on this collab, hahaha!
