The basic facts are going to come through OK, and lots creeps around the edges that is of relevance. It was the same way with Izvestia/Pravda back in the day, and the NYT has been this way for... well, forever.

Looks like the M-54 version, which implies dropped by heavy bombers not fighters. Interesting. That means carpet bombing.
