What chilli and garlic? I bet he cuts an onion and uses the segments as a spoon to scoop up food. Just a guess.

Yeah the chilli and garlic. No on the onion spoon, however! He used to have these weird “special cotton” that he would burn and sniff to get rid of nasal congestion.
It actually fucking worked, but man, it sucked.
