Uff took about 3 hours for the email to arrive it seems. When I clicked the link today after checking my mail again, it said the link was expired reeeeee. I’ll probably just wait for the official release. Thanks for your help though!

Probably because of the influx of new players. I’d recommend trying again or sending an email, it’s well worth it!
