I knew about the âThourâ meme, but still didnât get why the directory turned compressed. My guess is that by licking the lemon, the directory folds in on itself, thus becoming compressed.

It retreats its non existent head from the sourness, as if folding itself in, generally making itself smaller, hence, compressed.
