I agree with you, this post would be a better fit in a news community or a CNN community, if there is one. This community is more about entertainment/documentary programs rather than news and news-related.

Dear members and casual readers of this community:
I was wondering if these recent posts regarding the news channels are appropriate to this community. Yes, technically, the posts are about TV but I feel these posts are more following the letter and not the spirit of Movies and TV Shows.
Since it is ultimately you, the “readership,” that decides what you want to see here at lemmy.film I put it to you: are you interested in news channel postings? Do you think posts regarding news channels belong here at !moviesandtv@lemmy.film?

Yeah I'm subscribed to news and politics magazines for those. Doesn't really feel like it belongs here imo.
