I feel like 25% of the population buys into the whole covid propaganda and actually lives competely solitary, masking up all the time, never going anywhere or seeing anyone. The other 70% just plays along and pretends because of social pressure, but the reality is they have gatherings and travel, they just keep it on the low down and pretend they are taking precautions because they sont want judgement. The last 5% know this is all bullshit and dont care about social pressure.
