Would that some of the redundant Wolfball communities would be deleted. Diluting the same conversation topics across dozens of communities is how reddit alternatives die.

I wonder how much "nuance" in comment there can possibly be between "Whatever," "Free Forum," and "The Default Community." Or between all the meme communities that post similar pro-Trump, anti-shitlib content.

BUT that's just my impression as a newcomer, I don't expect it to be taken with much weight. I don't want to seem like some agitator who joined the platform just to shit on it. I want to see it grow.

This has been discussed and there was some attempt by wigglehard to merge like communities. Every small reddit alternative needs a catch all community like whatever and somewhat like freeforum. the default community should be more like announcements. CovidHoax, no new normal, and covid memes really could all be put together.

Creating and building up communities is a big part of the fun in reddit style forums though. People want to feel ownership over their community like it's their own little website. So telling people to post in another forum doesn't work well. Ruqqus had the concept of yanking post from a catch all community to a specific community and I thought that worked pretty good.
