Funny because my parents wanted to mutilate me (intersex correction surgery) for not looking like a normal [binary gender removed] kid. They were very conservatives by the way, I’m so happy they didn’t have health insurance when I was born otherwise they probably would’ve gotten their way. They also could barely keep a roof over my head (both figuratively and literally) and my father whipped me on time for being too tired to plow with him after walking 3 miles home from school in the rain. Though it was lucky because that got them taken away from me (great state of New York would not allow them to continue to be my legal guardians after whipping me).

Oh I’m glad we agree! Loving parents do indeed encourage to express themselves rather than beat them into submission to ensure conformity.
