I think we should own our insurance and admin it ourselves, and set up statutes to transparently explain how we moderate it, how moderators are chosen and (eventually) how they can be impeached. It’s in the spirit of the fediverse, and the cons of federation are largely a question of educating the users, which will happen gradually. I see it as the most promising way to sustainability.
