Ok. Yes the user base is not as big as the mainstream ones yet, so there's quite noticeable surges in activity depending on timezones.
Just another thought I had - when you look for communities to subscribe to are you using all or just feddit.de (https://feddit.de/communities/listing_type/All/page/1)
