Well it’s sad to see the Bendigo Hotel closing, they have also done a lot to pee off the metal scene recently.
Things have been really sus there since the start of this year. Booking less metal, removing metal merch on the wall, and trying to change the vibe of the place.

Long term booker was sacked (there’s reasons), but their replacement knew nothing about Metal. Hardly any gigs got booked since August last year, or if there is a gig, its a shitty Destroy All Lines lineup.
Due to poor sales, the Bendi then tried to move away from metal. They also put on normie events like industry night and non-metal trivia nights. Metal merch on the walls was slowly disappearing as well.
This pissed off metal heads, as they felt they weren’t welcome there anymore. The $17 dollar pints also added more insult to injury.
