Comment on What platform/api could I use to split donations across multiple benefactors?
kurogane@lm.helilot.com 1 year agoYou are correct, there are many solutions for cryptocurrencies.
I’ve considered the ETH safe wallet for a while safe.global/wallet
I would rather prefer Eth2.0 to Bitcoin, though. Bitcoin is limited, clogged and polluting.
However, the general sentiment this year is so heavily aggressive against any cryptocurrency solution, it is getting weird.
I am worried that if I put any cryptocurrency solution, people would automatically close my page, without even giving it a read.

If you go the crypto route - use Bitcoin. This is coming from someone who owns a lot of ETH. Yes, it’s outdated but it works and is the most recognizable/popular digital asset.
I’ve seen plenty of websites with Bitcoin donation addresses. I’m not sure how long you’ve been familiar with Bitcoin but despite what you may think the sentiment around it is more or less the same as it has always been. It was just as criticized at $30 as it is now at $30k.
If your only using it to collect then convert donations to your local currency then use what’s popular.

I get your point but I wouldn’t choose bitcoin for the sake of its popularity, when there are a housand times better solutions out there.

I mean, there are also better solutions than ETH, but having better technology doesn’t guarentee success or Monero would be leading the market.
If there is only 1 surviving cryptocurrency 10 years from now it will most likely be Bitcoin.
Anyways, I hope you find whatever works best for you.
