I grew up with Speed Racer, and was a huge fan of Robotech (we even had dogs named Rook and Rand), and Macross. Thanks for sharing.

When I was a kid, I thought the pre-Matrix “bullet time” shot of Speed jumping out of the Mach 5 was magic! I guess the Wachowskis thought the same thing.
Anyway, that is a direct example to Kuri’s art direction and animation.
