Comment on Games that force you to make hard choices
AMillionMonkeys@lemmy.world 5 months agoI love Steins Gate, but the choices you make are so wildly disconnected from the consequences that I don’t think it really counts. It’s such a strange system.

I agree the consequences can be baffling, but sometimes it can be straight up funny overblown too.
I think the inspiration to this is the butterfly effect and how the main’s decision can cause (huge) side effects but somewhat not to what he wanted.
