TheObviousSolution@lemmy.ca 5 days agoI’m convinced there has to be a way to make moderation crowdsourced where you can build up groups of curators whose upvotes, downvotes, reports, and blocks can be used as a form of moderation.

Might be better, but holy shit do people on social media brigade, which is where I’m not sure that idea would work so well. Some topics just heat people up, and it turns into basically a runaway reaction. I’ve seen folks say like you know this sucks, but maybe we should think about x and y, and the brigade just jumps all over them like a bunch of zombies.
