Perfide@reddthat.com 4 months agoMy gas stove can stay on indefinitely with no flame. There’s no regulations requiring it in all stoves, and not everyone has a modern high end stove. Seriously dangerous to just blanket statement say all gas stoves are safe.

Says it right there. “Obviously don’t take chances”. When youre literate this means that yes, you may have an old stove that doesn’t have it and your building code may not require it. Unless it was necessary to say, don’t bet your life on something you misread on memes.
It’s not just high end stoves either, the valves are not that expensive and mostly come by default nowdays because they want to sell the same appliances globally. It’s been at least a decade too.
The real joke is that you’re misrepresenting my statement as “blanket” while using the only developed country who doesn’t do it. You’re the exception really. I still made sure to say to not take chances, just for you snowflakes.
