Comment on Canada has some undersea cables along Hudson's Bay. This is an extremely remote area with an incredibly low population... what is the purpose of these cables

    More like : “Hudson’s Bay is already very wide so pulling cables across it is necessary to prevent it to get even wider.”
    (the title doesn’t say if those are steel cables and asks their purpose)
