IDK, 2025 seems like it was worse. In 2025 there was an attempted global fascist takeover, this year they’ve been tiredly playing the same old beats seemingly knowing that it won’t work
Like we have some new pointless wars, and that certainly sucks, but I’d describe last year as legit terror and this year as heavily accelerated inevitable decay

By making such a spectacle at the onset, folks don’t notice the slower, boring work of a fascist takeover. It’s mostly HR work, firing people who believe in the law and constitution then replacing them with corrupt psycophants.
2026 has been scarier because people have got used to things like Trump buying Russian fuel just a couple months after sanctioning India for doing the same.
2026 is scarier because a dude getting shot and held in prison where he sleeps on the floor for days before he’s able to see a doctor to get the bullet removed doesn’t get a reaction.
2026 is scarier because people are numb to Musk has been put in charge of the future of our military. The dude who obviously plans on becoming a weapons manufacturer with factories in the US, Germany and China… He literally has a deal to get a trillion dollars if he can get TSLA to 9 trillion in market cap in the next decade. It’s currently at 1.5 trillion. He’s building a workflow for a robot army and has a satellite internet that is already critical military infrastructure.
2026 is scarier because CBS news has been taken over by billionaire oligarch propagandists and most folks haven’t noticed or don’t care.
