grue@lemmy.world 3 days agoI don’t mean to make light of the bigotry, but the fact that that piece of shit inflicted JavaScript upon the world is reason enough to hate him by itself. He has a proven track record of incompetence and terrible design decisions.

javascript is one of the best programming languages in the world. is was one of the first mainstream languages to adapt features such as coroutines, imports based on filename instead of classname, etc.
it does a lot of things right. haters gonna complain about the 5% efficiency lost because it doesn’t use static typing.
