Turkey is notorious about this. Iran is currently droning Kurds in Iraq. Syria just fucked over the AANES which had a thriving multicultural system with Kurds as a foundational part.

Not sure about Turkey, but what does Iran droning Kurds in Iraq look like? And Syria absorbing the AANES doesn't seem like doing much to Kurdish identity per se?
