So you made an awkward declaration about who he is and when he didn’t fight your declaration you decided to hold it against him?

I can see countless reasons why one might agree when they are not actually a Republican. It was an awkward question and he thought it was some kind of joke? Or perhaps he thought agreeing would be the quickest way to avoid an argument. Or maybe he didn’t think you were trying to entrap him and he wanted you to like him.

New Mexico is a blue-ish State so there’s a good chance he might not actually be a Republican.
