People talk about affording healthcare but nobody thinks about the other problem that is smart doctors being for the rich and dumb doctors being for the poor.
You think those straight A med students are working at your local hospital? LOL! No, we get the doctors who got Ds and Cs who will take your temperature and tap your leg but have no skillset outside of the basics. They only wanted to be doctors because their families told them to or because they were told they’d make good money.
The rich? They get the best doctors there is. They have the money. Any issue they have, they can go to the best doctor and probably get it figured out immediately. Compared to the regular person, who gets referral after referral after referral because the doctors for us have no fucking idea what they’re doing. Gets told to take meds that aren’t even related to the problem. Gets told their symptoms “shouldn’t be possible”.
Probably unnecessary, just wanted to get this thought out there because I never see anyone talking about it and these are problems I’ve experienced first-hand.

Calling every doctor dumb unless they graduated magna cum laude is a bit of a stretch considering how notoriously hard it is to even barely pass a medical exam.

I didn’t call every doctor dumb. I’m saying the ones us regular people get are more likely to be dumb. The rich get the ones who have proven they’re not dumb. There are doctors who barely pass medical school… Where do you think they work…? Why would a doctor who graduated from Harvard valedictorian or whatever work at a small town hospital? They’re going to work for a huge ass hospital in a huge ass city making huge ass money from huge ass clients. I just think it’s common sense in a world where the rich want the poor to suffer.
It should be hard. You’re training to be a fucking doctor, with the ability to diagnose people with lifelong conditions. With the experience I’ve had with many medical professionals, maybe they should make them even harder. Obviously they’re not hard enough because every PCP, specialist, PT, etc. I’ve seen has said there’s nothing wrong with me which is completely fucking false, and if they were a real doctor, who wanted to help their patients with their medical issues, they would work with me until they could figure it out.
I’m not hating on emergency services, nurses, etc. I’m hating on the people in the world that have dedicated their lives to the profession of helping others, only to sidestep and defer patients while still getting that doctor’s paycheck. I’m hating on the people who are doctors for the title, not the job satisfaction. The doctors who ask you the same questions when they know you’ve been referred over and over and over.
I eat enough fucking vegetables doc, that’s not why I’ve had chronic pain for over 10 fucking years…
