The US president, Donald Trump, claimed to have had the suspects under view for a “long time” and alleged the men “were looking to do big damage” – although the Guardian understands the operation was not intelligence-led, suggesting investigators had not known about any potential plot in advance.
“It was fantastic. Working with Britain, it was an amazing job,” Trump said.
Obviously more bullshit. The whole thing was foiled by a woman returning home late from a party and calling the police. Nobody knew jack-shit!

It sounds like someone made a call before the woman did, so that might explain it and the very rapid response (she claims the armed police were there within 10 minutes).
