McDonald’s absolutely cracks eggs for the McMuffin.

For the scrambled egg they use liquid egg and cook it on the griddle. And the folded egg comes precooked and just reheated on the griddle.

Burger King doesn’t have griddles so they get it precooked and frozen.

I worked for them in the US for 10 years. They used to do cracked eggs, but I was there when they converted. Now they’re just frozen eggs in that shape that are steamed.

I’m in the US, where are you? They definitely do not crack eggs for the McMuffin, the eggs come wrapped and shaped already.

  Colorado. They were doing it 20 years ago when I worked there and they still do it today.

Burger King used to have griddles. Worked it myself, long ago. Even served a breakfast platter of scrambled eggs and bacon, and making the eggs for the sandwiches was an art form to get it perfect. Probably when they went downhill in the 2000s they got rid of all that stuff. Just like when Pizza Hut went from actually mixing pan dough to frozen. Damn, that stuff was good.
