I am mostly the same as the author of the link, especially when it comes to games where voice chat with strangers is a requirement. That said, I really like Deep Rock Galactic, because it’s collaborative and has a combination of culture and design that as long as you’re not actively malicious people usually see a bad player as an opportunity to teach, not to get mad. Plus, the game has pretty good communication tools such that quick in game chat messages are usually enough to get by when playing with randos online.
