Oh, don’t worry - they are still pro-life. It has to do with legalizing abortion pills for up to 9 weeks, it seems:
Abortion was illegal for some years, but it still has always been a sort of gray area. I know someone who said it was easy to obtain an abortion if you simply went in and stated that you were in ‘distress’ and other things and you could get an abortion in certain hospitals basically by repeating this. A doctor would fill out paperwork that falsely gave a valid reason for it to be a normal medical procedure, and where these things were obtainable were known, I think even via internet.
This is how abortion existed in Ireland between the 90s and that long march to legalization, so I hear.
I am pro-life, BTW.
