minimum wage in every state is $7.25 due to it being the federal minimum wage. it’s just that a few blue states made local laws making non-federal jobs have a higher state minimum wage in cities (emphasis on cities only). – but these states also raised the city tax to compensate which cancels out half of the minimum wage raise.
but it’s better than red states where many filthy republicans have been trying to introduce laws lowering the minimum wage while still increasing taxes.
