In the civilised word we have had the same increases in in cost, but income has followed somewhat behind it. Not enough, but at least some. For my country, we have lagged behind inflation since 2013, but are trying to watch up, but some dystopian socueties has had minimal income flat since like 93 or something, so it could be worse. It is utterly fascinating that such a young country as USA, existing fully as an opposition to the many financing the few, whose only large societal disagreement being if to treat some or several humans as humans, but of course not all, going so all in on the few benefiting at the cost of the many, and it not starting anything close to a in actual civil war. The founding fathers would have disowned their creation generations ago.
