If this was a serious list, Johnson should be on the failure section, having ruined any chance of a Reconstruction effort after the war. A successful effort was was probably too big of a thing to last through several Presidents, but he fumbled and lost the ball. We're still paying for it. That and Reagan with his economic disaster, funny that he's not even mentioned. Probably too liberal, as was Nixon with his EPA and such.

Modern Republicans love Johnson’s failure, though. His hands-off softball approach to the former Confederate states allowed the Confederacy to rise again in all but name.
