First off, you are already doing a lot by just living in an apartment, more than most.
I am lazy, and I try to prioritize the most effective solutions. People might disagree, but if it is not very effective I don’t do it. I do not agree with the “everything little thing helps”. It’s not a sustainable way of living in a world that does not make it easy to do the right things. It’s better to focus on high impact areas and stop there.
I do
- I live in an apartment
- I do not own a car, and just use the rare taxi
- I try to buy and sell used items as much as is reasonable
- I rarely travel by plane
- Eat more vegetarian than before
I do not
-
I do not recycle plastics, it is too bothersome and I doubt that it even helps much. Sometimes already clean plastics are recycle. It’s already being used to heat apartments by burning it at the optimal temperature for low emissions anyways.
-
I do not grow plants for other reasons than aesthetics and herbs. As long as it does not actively harm insects or similar.
-
I do not avoid using the cloud. It’s to bothersome running things at home. I just want to set and forget
