A repost is something that’s been submitted to the site before. It has nothing to do with whether or not it’s original content created by the user. Reddit was originally a social bookmarking site, intended for sharing and discussing content hosted elsewhere.

Don’t worry this isn’t reddit where people scream about reposts despite the entire site being reposts of content from other sources.
I’m just keeping count because it flew over people’s head the last two times too lol.
