Comment on Is it just the norm now-a-days for grocery stores to have lots of stuff on the shelves that's past the best-by date?

I’ve noticed an uptick in my area of the US. My personal experience is that it got more common after covid, maybe got slightly less common for a while, and has gotten more common in the last year or so.

It may be I just check them more frequently when other food safety concerns are in the news. But I’ve also noticed an uptick in other supply issues in grocery stores, items being out of stock more often for example. Perishables especially. Those two things feel like they might co-occur.
