Unless you’re going and buying hatsune miku prints at your farmers market, unethucal consumption under captitalism also means trying to find out how to provide for the staff who still contribute to meaningful art, even if that is the set designer for an Avengers slop movie.

Yeah, obviously you should throw money at creators you like on bandcamp and patreon.
But Owen Dennis ain’t getting My money if I subscribe to paramount plus for Among Us, and he sure as shit ain’t getting any money if I watch an ad on cartoon network’s website while trying to figure out how to watch Infinity Train. I really love Infinity Train, but you can’t watch it legally anymore. And it’s not like Owen gets a big bonus if enough people subscribe to catch Among Us.
So anyway I just sent Owen Dennis some money on Patreon to show My appreciation for his amazing art. And I got a free month of Dana Terrace’s Patreon too, so that’s awesome!

Hey cool. You make all the calculations you want. As long as you’re supporting creators then that’s all that matters. I reiterate, there are people who take great personal offense to having to pay money for anything and you don’t appear to be one of them.
