I have specifically split tunneled my VPN so that the app (voyager) I use for Lemmy is actually not included with my VPN traffic. I do not understand why even with the VPN turned off completely and the account signed out and the device restarted I can’t log in. Something really does need to be done here.

This barrier to entry for any legitimate user using a VPN is ridiculously high if even with the VPN turned off completely it still causes issues.
