Comment on I can't upload images to posts. Get error code 500: no file descriptors available. I am using the app: Summit. Can someone tell me if this is on Lemmy.worlds end or Summit?

this should be resolved for now. Unfortunately the root cause is still not clear and will require some additional investigation.

It seems to accept screenshots of the image I am trying to upload. If I screenshot it and crop it, it uploads without fail. So it seems to be related to either file type or size. The thing is,I didn’t start having this problem until this post and before it was working fine. I wonder if it is because of an update or something.

  Are you still having issues or just describing what you’ve experienced before?
  
  We know why the error you’re seeing is happening, as that’s a caused by reaching a limit, we just don’t know yet why the limit is being filled up by other stuff yet.

    It happened to me once in the last week about a week ago. I just posted and it was uploading fine. Occasionally, it acts up and I might have to use the screenshot trick but not for a week has it done this behavior again.
