rmrf@lemmy.ml 1 week agoHidden is a strong word; it’s a file named as such, in plain text, with a GUI button to disable it, and has a bunch of humor throughout. I’m not really sure what the big deal about it is honestly, I think it’s hilarious and harmless

not in plain text, it was base64+gzip encoded at the source url to thwart discovery
very not harmless, hidden political censorship is not harmless
and the dev is forcing it on server admins “users can disable the blocklist (if admins allow it), but there will be no server config option to have “toxic mode” (no blocklist mode) on by default”
