Comment on MARVEL Tōkon: Fighting Souls appears to block SteamOS / Linux

Most fighting games don’t even have anti-cheats and I don’t really see this big movement of people asking for them. With rollback netcode and crossplay becoming a standard in recently released fighting games (with some unfortunate exceptions, such as Under-Night II), the next things people have been asking for are replay takeovers and free access in training mode for DLC characters.

Most players are non-vocal, online-only players who will bounce out just a few weeks after encountering anti-social behavior like cheating.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding something and apologies if I am, but if most players are non-vocal as in, don’t really voice their opinions online, how do you know they’ll bounce out due to cheating? Because from what I’ve read in forums, most people quit playing fighting games online for a number of reasons not even closely related to cheating, namely:

And for what it’s worth, I do see players complaining about cheating in fighting games online but I see as much (if not more) bragging about beating cheaters fair and square.
